RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

Description

This Course covers the requirements for establishing, maintaining, and monitoring a respirator program. Course highlights include workshop on Quantitative Fit test (QNFT) or Qualitative fit testing (QLFT).

Several types of occupational diseases can be caused by breathing contaminated or oxygen deficient air in the workplace. In order to control or eliminate breathing hazards, OSHA has adopted respiratory protection regulations for any General industry workplace except agriculture, and for specific air contaminants. OSHA estimates that its respiratory regulation could save as many as 900 lives and prevent more than 4,000 injuries and illnesses every year.
