H2S TRAINING

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of Hydrogen Sulfide and employ procedures to detect and protect workers who may be exposed to this deadly and toxic gas.

Course Topics:

      1. Properties and characteristics of H2S sources of H2S and areas of potential exposure
      2. Typical site-specific safe work practices associated with H2S operations
      3. Gas Monitor Detection methods for H2S.
      4. Rescue techniques and first aid procedures for victims of H2S exposure


Target Audience: Hydrogen Sulfide Certification is designed as a safety training course to familiarize students with the dangers associated with working in a H2S environment. The class is appropriate for entry level through supervisory level employees. The course is required for all Employees who have the potential to be exposed to H2S in excess of PEL 10ppm with a TWA of 8hrs per day.
